Hentai troll is back btw (complex analysis thread)
Moderation system, privacy, etc.
Can we please autoremove posts with slurs? I don't know why we need nukes to get rid of posts which are deliberately calling other people the N word.
You are such a [country in West Africa starting with the letter N ending with the letter R with an additional G inserted in the middle]
So inventive. Yet so unoffensive.
Please deal with the TK thread. It was funny at first but now it is getting out of hand.
That's one way to put it. Can we have a thread locked if:
It is not a sticky
If it exceeds a certain threshold of number of posts
I can't imagine the TK thread is doing any good to any participant at this point.

From a selfish perspective as an MO user: the TK thread provides an outlet for stuff which would otherwise be posted under various sockpuppets to MO. (Not that this benefits users of this forum, other than to give them some insight of what the majority of MO deletions are like.)

The TK thread also provides a place for TK spam to be concentrated on this forum. Having said that, this does not mean that the thread should continue to exist. If you've looked at the thread in recent times, then you're aware that it's gone beyond basic crankery (which is traumatic enough, both for the cranker and the crankees) and devolved into stuff that's likely to be seriously harmful to TK, at least emotionally.
(yeaf here)
^ Oh, I would be in favour of heavier moderation, including closing threads. But this seems to attract cries of "oh noez muh freeze peach". So the question is whether people more libertarian than myself will object once a precedent is set for locking/nuking threads with many posts.
Regarding TK, I don't know how much you have seen on MO, but actually most of what is going on in the TK thread is in exactly the same vein as the questions and comments and insults on MO. What I mean is that he has already gone beyond basic crankery even before MJR started. It may be that some of those posting are not sockpuppet alts and are just poking with sticks for their own cruel amusement, which is rotten behaviour, but then I don't see much signs that similar trolling on other threads will be clamped down on, given the apparent ethos of this site.

Oh absolutely, there is at least one provocateur attached to TK. I have two guesses about him:
He is the original Litteaux troll
His aim is to create such a noise about TK that some senior mathematician will have to publicly opine on TK's monograph resulting in an entirely predictable fight between TK and the senior mathematician. In this aim he's been at least partially successful, though my guess is that he was aiming for somebody of TT's stature.
