Do all the smarter mathematicians hang out at Reddit? Or Quora?
I should like to converse with the best.

all the best mathematicians left this hellsite and have congregated on r/math.
This is very conspicuously not true. Compare the quality of the discussion on the Ramsey number breakthrough here, vs reddit. There it's a bunch of undergrads (at best) plus some rank amateurs. By contrast the discussion here very clearly has a number of people who know what they are talking about.
the people who post on reddit are so dumb. But because they are all dumb, the smartest ones there think they're geniuses. It's pretty funny. Eventually academia rejects them completely (because they are clearly dumb) and they spend the rest of their lives grieving about it.
Reddit is 60% high school level, 38% undergrad, 2% grad, 0% research level maths. Any actual mathematical content on MJR is research level (as are most of the posters), but by percentage its about 80% Alexander grieving about the lack of equations, principles, postulates in string theory. For this reason quora is better.
