tragic death of young postdoc
whoever said vaccine is an f'ing idiot. There have always been people dying of congenital heart conditions. Basic flaw of human anatomy. Bizarrely, MIT math has had at least two such cases in the past: there was an undergraduate named Bucsela many years ago who died suddenly this way - there is (or was) an undergraduate prize there named after him -- and then Steve Paneitz, also a postdoc, for whom the famous Paneitz operator is named. Anyway, this new case is a real tragedy.
