I am afraid that if I keep posting, people will eventually figure out my style and figure out which past posts were made by me. For the only case someone got "figured out" it was because they posted too much revealing info in a now deleted thread. But I am talking about getting outed on writing style alone.

Just randomly misspell some words, use abbreviations you wouldn't normally use (at random) and make sure you only use American English. You'll be fine. I assume that case you are discussing is RA, in which case you hardly need a subtle analysis to figure it out!

i'll be honest and say it's possible
it's not only about how someone types... it's about the 'sentiment'/'tone' of the post too, and the types of threads the person participates in
however i'm not quite sure it's a really big deal. a lot of people are also discussing this board IRL, so it's not like it's 4chan
some of us are old enough to appreciate/miss y2k style internet..

PH has been publicly posting for a while. He was outed in a thread about Sarnak's advising style as well -- someone ID'd him from his story and he acknowledged it.
I've since noticed a lot of posts that I'm 99% sure were him.

Did you even read this thread? Why would Piper Harron be posting about Sarnak's advising style? There is more than one person with the initials PH in the world.

No offense, but you are not that important. The majority of people on MJR don't visit the site thinking "Whose identity will I expose today?"
