The "Major achievements of Peter Scholze" thread currently on the front page is not racist enough for you guys? Are there really moderators for this site?
Attention: New nuking rules
So, someone is gonna talk about the new rules? The spousal hires thread is back up, so of course something changed. Don't care about that thread being there, just want someone to tell the new rules.
The new rule is mod can do whatever the F he wants, including reviving some obscure thread (America is not safe, Is it easy to get a job at Princeton, Progress in math stopped...) about a discussion he finds interesting
abolish nuking altogether. just allow everything like ejmr. the forum is better that way.
what's the point of replicating something that already exists (ejmr) ?
from what I understand, there are filters on EJMR, so you can't even write words like incel. on the flip side though, they do allow for links.

there are also a bunch of other words that are banned, so for a newcomer like myself, I get a lot of posts blocked, and I have to retry and figure out what's the problematic language.

They do it because websites with a lot of vulgarities get a lower ranking on google search.
